2006 Leading Horse Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep crimson colour with brick red hues. Background aromas of dark berry fruits support tea-like, dried bay leaf and savoury notes.

The palate is intense with sweet blackberry and blueberry fruit and cedar spice providing excellent weight on the mid palate.

The tannins are big and chewy, providing excellent length that will ensure this is a wine which can be enjoyed over the next 5 years.

The Formby & Adams label reflects the Cabernet Dimension of Brothers in Arms. In 1891 William Formby wielded his leading team of Clydesdale horses into action, planting the first 2 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon. Today his great, great grandson Guy Adams continues the family’s grape growing traditions, consistently leading the way through a mix of traditional and modern vineyard management and winemaking practices that enable him to produce the best possible wines from this famous vineyard.
